A bit about Julie P

I have been a Primary School teacher for almost 30 years. I teach the whole of the Primary age range and English and Mathematics in KS3. I also teach descant and treble recorders, violin and piano.

I have a degree in English Literature and Philosophy and a PGCE in Primary Education. I specialise in English , Mathematics and Music.

My greatest success was developing Music throughout my Primary school. Through extracurricular instrumental teaching my School Band and Recorder Ensemble both managed to achieve first prize in the local Music Festival on 2 consecutive years. I have also led a very success Writing Project in school which improved skills and helped to develop a love for Writing and worked with teachers and Headteachers in 4 local schools to improve Mathematical Problem Solving.

I have a calm and sensitive approach to teaching and tailor lessons to suit each student`s individual needs. I also have the ability to bring out the inner confidence in all my students and help them to succeed and be the best they can be.
