A bit about Gillian S

I have been a teacher of English and Drama for several years. I live in a beautiful part of Wales and I enjoy reading, writing, walking and sailing. I have written several schemes of work on Shakespeare and all of these have helped pupils who study on line preparing for GCSE I specialise in the teaching of English Language and English Literature both for Key Stage 3 pupils and pupils preparing for GCSE. As part of my masters degree, I set up a consultancy which assessed, identified, and planned intervention for pupils with Literacy problems such as Dyslexia; many of my pupils have gone on to university My lessons usually last 50 to 60 minutes and each session includes the opportunity to ask questions before carrying out written work. Each session begins with outlining the aims and objectives of the lesson following the guidelines laid down by examining boards; if necessary, lessons can be tailored to fit individual pupils who struggle with particular aspects of English. I have been teaching for many years and began private tutoring on line during the recent Covid Pandemic; this gave anxious pupils the opportunity to keep up with or catch up with lessons which they might otherwise have missed.
