Hello! I am a qualified teacher with ten years experience of teaching and teacher training, all of which has been fuelled by my passion for education. It is my sincere belief that every person deserves access to a world-class education, and this is what I am here to provide to as many people as possible. After spending four years as a university lecturer, I began to privately tutor GCSE and A-Level students and found a real passion for teaching at the secondary school level. In 2017 I subsequently began teaching at Paddington Academy, a school rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and designated a Centre of Excellence by the DfE. I was made Assistant Subject Lead for History and R.S. (all Key Stages) and Designated Lead for KS5. I was also given the additional responsibility of mentoring and coaching trainee and Early Career teachers for the United Teaching national SCITT programme. More recently, I have begun tutoring with the government's National Tutoring Programme to help students catch up with the learning missed during lockdown.
I specialise in History, Religious Studies/Philosophy and essay-writing. I have taught KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate students. I have taught all ranges of student ability, including SEND. I can also help you with the academic skills needed for successful study at university, as well as coursework, and university applications.
I always adapt my lessons to the students. Whether you need things really broken down and repeated in order to understand difficult ideas, or whether you need to really push yourself to get top grades, I will be able to help. After years of experience, I am a patient and supportive teacher.
