A bit about Maryan

I'm a Biology specialist teacher with a background in teaching GCSE science, Biology A-level and BTEC Applied Science. My teaching approach involves listening carefully to each student and adapting my teaching methods to suit their needs. I really value effective communication and think an honest dialogue is needed between tutor and student in order to achieve great lessons. My teaching philosophy is based on encouragement of effort while also recognising achievement. I value a good work ethic, motivation and clear communication in my lessons. I will bring these qualities and expect my students to do the same. The one thing I try to consistently show my students is that I am approachable and not just a figure of authority. This is necessary to help my students feel at ease so that they can focus on learning and asking any questions they may have without worrying about making mistakes.
