A bit about Anna T

Students love that I make lessons accessible and fun. They love that I make time to discuss the big issues and explore the variety of opinions surrounding RE topics. I ensure students are exam ready from the start so we can focus on content and long term memory. As a private tutor, I am committed to tailoring my teaching style to suit the individual needs of each student. Whether a student is struggling with a particular concept or simply looking to deepen their understanding of a particular religious tradition, I will work closely with them to develop a personalised study plan that meets their unique learning goals. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning is an ongoing process that requires both hard work and a willingness to approach new ideas with an open mind. I strive to create a positive and collaborative learning environment that empowers students to take ownership of their learning and develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both academically and personally. As an RE teacher, there are many things that I love about teaching my subject. One of the things that I find most rewarding is the opportunity to help students explore and understand the rich tapestry of religious beliefs and traditions that exist around the world. Religion is a deeply personal and meaningful aspect of many people's lives, and I feel privileged to be able to introduce students to new ways of thinking about the world and themselves through the lens of different religious and philosophical perspectives. I believe that this exposure to diverse worldviews helps students to develop a greater sense of empathy and understanding, and can be instrumental in fostering greater tolerance and compassion in our society as a whole. I also enjoy the intellectual challenge that comes with teaching RE. The subject matter is complex and multifaceted, and I am constantly learning new things myself as I work to keep up with developments in the field. I take great satisfaction in being able to share this knowledge and passion with my students, and to see them develop their own critical thinking skills and curiosity about the world. Finally, I love the fact that teaching RE allows me to connect with students on a deeper level. The subject matter often deals with issues of morality, meaning, and purpose, and I find that many students are eager to engage with these big questions in a way that they might not be with other subjects. I enjoy being able to facilitate these conversations and to help students develop their own ideas and beliefs in a safe and supportive environment. I have maintained exceptional results throughout my 20 years. On average students achieve higher grades than they are estimated. I achieved the RE Quality Mark in good for my school and have been nominated for teacher of the year.
