A bit about Misha F

1. I do an initial meeting and lesson with you. 2. I assess your goals and current status with preparation. I figure out your availability and how much time you can spend. 3. I make a plan based on your goals and the specific exam board. Planning out lessons for the next month, with specific focus on weak areas initially. 4. I set work which I mark as part of my fee, for the last 5/10 minutes of each lesson, I review mistakes with you. 5. When the preparation stage is finished, I go over past papers, a mock exam is optional. *I also coach students on exam confidence. Lifestyle changes that I've seen improving my students' performance, outside of pure studying. *I take a structured, yet flexible approach to planning. This will vary depending on your unique requirements. I’m Misha- 28 years old and a lifelong student. I can point to multiple positive outcomes in tutoring over my 4 years of experience. My experience in school was initially one of frustration- I didn't have the confidence to succeed until around 14 years old when I started my GCSEs and found an amazing tutor, Mark. Mark propelled me from C's and B's to A's and A*s. Once I had the confidence, I continued to go from strength-to-strength academically. Eventually I attained A*A*AA at A-level and went on to study Maths and Economics at LSE. My goal is to do for you what Mark did for me- give you the tools and belief to succeed in your academic career. I've figured out what works. All my techniques are results-driven. Please feel free to get in touch, I can answer any questions you may have. I specialise in teaching mathematics and UCAS preparation. These are the subjects that I'm most passionate about and most experienced in. Whether maths scares you or excites you, I'll find a way for you to succeed. After teaching over 50 students in the over 4 years, I've learnt that anyone can improve here- you will win with the right preparation. I've had experience across Edexcel, AQA and OCR exam boards- especially Edexcel. When I applied to university, I figured out how best to optimise my personal statement to specific universities. I struggled with the personal statement initially, but eventually found a strategic approach, leading to unconditional offers at Imperial College (Maths) and LSE (Mathematics and Economics). I will personally create a plan for you to target your dream university, as well as hedging your strategy. -Digital Marketing: I'm a digital marketer at a start-up. I'm fascinated with Google Ads. -Exercise: The greatest tool to strengthen body and mind. I'm training 4 days a week for the Richmond Marathon in September. Chess: I taught myself to play during lockdown, have reached the top 2% of chess.com Meditation: Daily practitioner of Vipassana meditation. This enhances my clarity, creativity and happiness.
