A bit about Michelle R

I have a PGDE in Primary Education, MSc in Sustainability and Environmental Studies, and a BA (hons) in Psychology and Sociology. In addition to this, I have completed the TEFL course and achieved Level 1 in Makaton. Mistakes are part of learning! Learning is a process and exploring new concepts freely and making mistakes is an important way to achieve deeper understanding. Stay enthusiastic and stay resilient! I am a HUGE animal lover! I have a pet cat, Minx, and dog, Bono - you may even meet them during our sessions. I also enjoy reading, watching lots of films, gardening, doing some crafting and, most recently, I have started handbuilding. I love being a tutor because I get to support children become confident, independent and successful learners individually tailored inputs. In addition to this, I can build positive relationships, getting to know the child's interests and passions, incorporating this into lessons, so that children are engaged and motivated, whilst also learning from them!
