A bit about Gary B

Im an experienced teacher (of 29 years) and current Science HOD. I am also accredited via the NTP tutor programme for post covid catchup. I have taught across all the sciences successfully at GCSE level and Biology, Chemistry and Applied Science to A level standard. Im an examiner and moderator at GCSE and A level and accredited for the practical endorsement element of the A level courses. I have taught and tutored students to success over the past 28 years using a variety of methods and strategies, i'm able to give hints and tips in answering examination questions due to my experience over the past 28 years I am able to teach up to Gcse for all Sciences and A level Biology, Chemistry and Applied Science. I have extensive experience of the practical endorsement and coursework activities in the Applied Science courses. My lessons aim to suit the needs of the learner, they all involve exam practice as this is the best form of revision. Students re supplied with power points used in tutoring and extensive exam practice, the marking of these questions online usually forms the focus of the start of each lesson, students can see how an examiner would mark the answers and learn from it. The structure depends very much on the needs of the learner and i would discuss what suits them best. I have been teaching for 28 years and tutoring on and off for the whole of this time. Most recently i have tutored two gcse students to success and two A level Biology students also.
