A bit about Jane N

I specialise in A Level Sociology, and GCSE Religious Education. I also have experience in teaching KS3 Humanities and Social Studies. Further to this, I have experience in teaching History, English and Science at at KS1 and KS2. I have taught for 12 years, plus 2 years teaching online. I am a qualified teacher, having taught in a range of settings both in the UK and internationally. I am also an experienced leader, having led large international departments. Further to this, I have obtained my Masters in Education from Durham University. I live in the North East of England, though have also taught in the UAE. Coming from a small village, I enjoy spending time with my family and my walking my pet cockapoo. I enjoy tv, film and music, and play guitar (not so well!). I enjoy getting together with friends to play board games and quiz. I'm a bit of a geek really! My lessons are varied, and involve lots of active recall, retrieval practice and low stakes quizzing to help embed knowledge in your long term memory. I am an outstanding teacher, who will do everything in my power to help my students achieve to their potential.
