A bit about Annmarie L

My greatest success was when I was teaching a GCSE-level class of all boys and achieved 100% pass rate. ALL of my 21 students passed. I was delighted. It took a fair bit of work, challenging the higher-end students to extend their skills and at the same time identifying triggers through trial and error to find out how to motivate the weaker students. Helping them to push through their weak areas step by step. My first degree was in Drama and English (1990) from Liverpool Hope University. Later in life I attended Waikato University in New Zealand to gain my Postgraduate Diploma Certificate in Teaching. Then I undertook a higher level qualification in 2018 at Unitec University. This course was titled "Digital Collaborative Learning" and is at Postgraduate Level. I like to offer students bite-sized chunks. I enjoy creating a checklist of skills and offering lessons that allow students to tick off each skill as they gain it. I create websites to support my students' learning which they have ongoing access to.
