A bit about Emily D

Psychology (I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology), French (up to GCSE), History, English Literature, Science (especially Biology) and Maths (up to GCSE). I can also teach Primary School Level (as I am currently a Primary Teacher) and 11+. Since October 2020 until present. I am very good at ascertaining student's learning styles and adapting my lessons to fit them. Whether they are a more visual learner, prefer to talk out ideas, or practising essays, I can adapt to my student's needs. This leads to a very free-style type of teaching. I can work out the extent to which I should challenge my students and where and how to push them to do their very best. I am a recent graduate in Psychology, and am an ECT currently working at Primary level. I have experience tutoring A-Level students and Secondary students too. I completed A-Levels in history, English and psychology but have a great passion for French and my degree has enabled my knowledge in maths and the sciences (particularly biology) to develop. I have been tutoring since October 2020, and since then have tutored two A-Level students. I have also volunteered with two charities: CoachBright and Coram Beanstalk. With Coach Bright I "coached" or tutored three, year six children at a time in English and comprehension. I worked with eight different pupils with that charity. With Coram Beanstalk I read with children in years four, five and six to boost their confidence and comprehension skills. With this charity, I read with five different children.
