A bit about Jessica N

I am a qualified primary school teacher with four years experience. I have a wealth of experience teaching across KS1 & KS2. I have a BA (hons) in Primary Education with QTS with a specialism in English. I believe every child has the potential to succeed but some may require some extra support to get there. I want to help the children who need that little extra help so that they can be successful in their learning! I am able to teach any child working in Years One - Six. I have excellent experience in improving children's confidence and progress in areas they are struggling and helping children for SATs preparation. I also have expertise in teaching phonics to boost reading fluency. I believe that teaching is all about the learner! The first thing I do is get to know every child I teach and their learning needs. I then plan and resource my lessons in a way to meet these needs as well as making the lessons fun and interesting. I believe you learn better if you are enjoying yourself! I love reading! I am currently running out of bookshelves in my house because of all my books! I read a range of children's literature so I always love to discuss books with children and offer recommendations for reluctant readers. In my spare time, you will find me down the yard where I care and ride my two horses: Wilfred and Murt. They definitely keep me busy!
