A bit about Maria J

Hello, I have been teaching English for nearly twenty years in a classroom. I can help you understand the books you are studying and help you write essays. I know what examiners are looking for and I work for an English exam board too. I am friendly and easy going and have loads of resources and past papers to work through. I aim to increase your confidence in English and exams. I specialise in English Language and English Literature. I have taught for nearly 20 years and I know what examiners want to see. I will help you achieve or improve upon your predicted grade. I also want to help you in your Literacy and vocabulary to aid you in job applications and CV writing. English as a form of communication is a life skill and you will need that secure confidence and knowledge after you leave school. I am really friendly and knowledgeable. I have a quiet but hardworking approach to study. You will feel at ease in the session and I can provide you with any revision materials you may need or request. I love English and I know all the books that schools are studying. I will always go that extra mile in helping you understand things better or help you if you find things difficult. I have tutored individual students for several years and not only have their grades increased considerably they also feel more confident in their literacy abilities which, of course, helps them in other subjects too.
