A bit about Simon P

My students have always commented on how approachable I am. They like that I help them not only to increase their knowledge, but also develop their confidence and self belief that they can do it. Maths anxiety is something that always has to be considered when teaching this subject, and when a student feels confident and can overcome this anxiety, they quickly realise their potential. I love being the catalyst for improved confidence and self-belief. I am currently in my final year of an MBA in educational leadership and management. I am specialising in neurodiversity in the workplace and have held talk and panel discussions around this topic. Neurodiveristy is not only a professional interest, but is a personal one too. I am diagnosed as autistic and dyslexic and it is my dream to continue my studies in a PhD. My lessons are designed around the preferred way of learning for the student. Not everyone can be taught in exactly the same way and expect to get exactly the same results. By shaping lessons around the students’ way of learning will increase knowledge more rapidly and also reduce the impact that maths anxiety can cause. This is what I love about tutoring, it is on a one to one level.
