A bit about Mohammed P

All year groups. England and Wales : GCSE, A-Level, iGCSE, IAL (all exam boards). Scotland : National 3/4/5, Highers, Advanced Highers (Exam Board : SQA). Clear explanations without distractions. My teaching philosophy is based on clear explanations with plenty of examples to hone skills. Using the correct set of resources is essential. Clear, but to the point, notes with plenty of practice questions and fully worked out solutions are key to success. A proactive and interested approach on the part of the student is essential. Education is a two-way street. I have a first class undergraduate degree in Mathematics with Theoretical Physics and a PhD in Einstein's Theory of General Relativity. I have worked as a full-time secondary school mathematics teacher between 2006-2018, teaching all levels (including Advanced Higher Mechanics) in the Scottish education system. I have worked as a lecturer in mathematics in the engineering department of a further education college between 2019-2022. I have extensive experience (2000-2024) of private tuition in mathematics and physics at all levels in secondary, mathematics in upper primary, and first to third year mathematics and engineering at university. Helping students understand the learning content by breaking down the work into manageable chunks; helping students prepare for assessments. To help students learn content without glossing over/hand-waving/missing out steps. All school mathematics and physics courses : England and Wales : GCSE, A-Level, iGCSE, IAL (all exam boards). Scotland : National 3/4/5, Highers, Advanced Highers (Exam Board : SQA). University maths and physics courses (including, but not restricted to) : Calculus, Analysis (Real and Complex), Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra (Rings, Fields, Groups etc.), Graph Theory, Number Theory, Coding Theory, Electromagnetism, Special Relativity, General Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Solid-State Physics.
