A bit about Siobhan F

I am highly experienced in primary education over 20+ years I excel at teaching SEN students and have a lot of experience with EYFS & primary KS1-2 children I am adept at supporting students; to promote learning in an effective way with a relaxed approach *I am highly empathetic & will coach students through what would be considered as barriers to learning for them *have an innate tolerant and nurturing attitude * I expect students to meet me half way! *I am qualified to teach EFL *English Language overall development in Primary education KS2 including SATS preparation *functional life-long learning skills (tutor 1:1 & small groups of primary school age children to cook in private workshops) Outside of teaching I love to cook & bake-I run cookery workshops with children aged 4-11 in the local community..my happy place is definitely in the kitchen! I enjoy walking our gentle Staffy Roco And I attend live music gigs & theatre shows I am currently learning Spanish & Portuguese in my leisure time My feedback from parents is that they value my experience in encouraging learners to develop their education at their own pace giving them an opportunity to thrive steadily. I am often told that I take the time to get to know my students strengths and their weaknesses very well subsequently this supports their progress, I offer experienced mentoring to maximise their learning potential to prepare for exams & KS2 SATS I’m adept at coaxing shy or learners with additional needs who've had poor experiences in the classroom for whatever reason, a lively classroom is not always the environment to thrive for some neuro diverse learners. I will always value each students time & efforts too! and consistently provide a warm approach and efficiently deliver well planned lessons
