A bit about Sanat B

Hey there! I'm a Dental student currently studying at the Top Dental University in the World - King's College London. For me, I love teaching what I have learnt from my experience - with relation to studies, university and life! I've been tutoring for over 4 years; starting with running free tutoring workshops at school to private tutoring as of recent years. I'm a strong believer in the concept of teaching my students how to learn, rather than just providing the answer. I've found this method to be effective as my students can then apply this to all the other subjects that they learn. Having done my A-levels recently and been in the first cohort of students to sit the GCSE 9-1 Specification, I know the In's and Out's of the mark scheme to help nail that Grade 9 or A*. I am confident in my approach to learning as this has helped me and my peers achieve top grades and end up at top universities around the world! The thing that I love far better than anything else is - the passing of knowledge to a student and them understanding the most efficient way to study. I've been to many tuitions in my life, so I've gauged what works and what doesn't. Tuition isn't always meant to be an extra source of homework for the student, yet it should be complimentary to their studies. I want my studies to come to me with the issues they face, whether it's lack of knowledge, poor exam technique, etc. and in the first lesson we create a plan to help tackle this. I love passing on all the wisdom I have learnt from attending one of UK's top grammar schools and students realising that studying can actually be done a lot easier. The smile when students come back to me with improvement is exactly why I started tutoring, and similarly providing that smile is also why I took Dentistry as a career :) That they can learn comfortably. Learning doesn't have to be the recital of one fact 100 times, yet making sure you understand the subject thoroughly just once can mean that you will have less confusion in your lessons and less revision to do in your free time. I provide a way to help break down full topics from an Exam Point-Of-View. By this I mean that I don't teach anything unnecessary unless the student wants to know specifically. We get through more topics at the speed the student is most comfortable with. This has proven to have a compound effect on the understanding that students have, and as a result improves their grades with the same amount of effort! Every question is a good question! It takes you a step closer to understanding, so ask away! My A-levels were interrupted due to COVID-19. I was awarded Chemistry (A), Maths (A), Biology (A). I was in the first batch of students to sit the 9-1 specification GCSE's and I achieved all 8/9s - accumulating a total of 9 A*s and 3As. I also achieved a UCAT score of 2940; putting me in the top 4% in the UK. In terms of tutoring, I've worked with national companies and have tutored privately over the last 4 years.
