A bit about Charlotte G

I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2013, with a specialism in SEND. I taught in classrooms for 6 years before doing some supply work and then moving on to tutoring work. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy yoga, reading, cooking and looking after my Mia - my cuddly rescue cat! My degree is in English Language and Literature so I specialise in teaching Reading, Writing and Phonics. I also offer lessons in primary Maths and Science, as well as preparation for 11+ examinations. I like to keep lessons fun and engaging, with a range of different activities and games. I tailor them to meet the needs of the individual learner. I started tutoring online in September 2020 and haven't looked back since! Good literacy skills are so important in the wider world and for communication in general. I also love reading myself, so enjoy instilling a love of reading in my pupils. Helping pupils prepare for and pass the 11+ exam. It's a very difficult test so it's very rewarding when a pupil passes!
