A bit about Lucy W

I like to combine explanations with exam-style questions for student participation; followed by past papers to consolidate knowledge and apply it to the type of questions used for assessment. I started tutoring in Year 12; I tutored a group of Year 11 GCSE students, who were behind their peers. We met regularly to learn and revise topics, which they had missed or didn't understand, and to consolidate the topics they had learned. Our tutor group was for both GCSE Maths, and Triple and Combined Science. Since then, I have tutored for GCSE Maths resits as well as GCSE (foundation and higher) and A Level Maths. I have always loved to learn, particularly Maths and Science, and it is an incredible experience to share your knowledge and help student reach their potential. It is an amazing feeling on results day when your students reach or pass their target grades.
