A bit about Nahiya A

My favourite thing about being a tutor is the fact that I play an active role in the progress of somebody’s education. I truly enjoy being able to guide students and to help them achieve their goals in a sustainable manner. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Leicester and therefore I am very passionate about teaching subjects related to this field, such as Biology and Chemistry. I have experience regarding tutoring as I have tutored privately as well as as a part of Explore Learning and MyTutor. I worked as a teaching assistant during my gap year, thereby improving skills like communication and listening, both being imperative skills to develop when tutoring. I completely understand that there are a multitude of learning preferences available and so I would like to tailor my lessons to suit each individual student's needs. For example, active learning is one of the more prevalent learning styles and this may include doing past paper questions or simply recalling facts without reviewing notes. I hope to deliver my lessons in an interactive and enjoyable manner.
