A bit about Deacon L

As a tutor I can cover (almost) all areas of mathematics up to degree level. I have a lot of experience tutoring students taking A level maths and further maths, as well as entrance exams such as STEP. As a researcher I specialised in mathematical logic.

I first started tutoring in January of 2020, while I was a PhD student. Before that I already had a good amount of experience as a university teaching assistant, running supervisions and exercise classes for students taking courses in mathematics.

As an undergraduate I took a joint honours course in philosophy as well as maths. I am also interested in computers and in my research brushed up against some topics of interest to theoretical computer scientists. Outside of teaching and academia my main hobby is playing badminton (I am still very much a beginner!).
