A bit about Caitlin N

My name is Caitlin and I am a final-year medical student. I have been tutoring for 3 years and have previously worked with a grammar school to support their students in achieving the top grades. I am passionate about helping my students to fulfil their academic potential and I know what it takes to reach the top grades, having attained 11A*s at GCSE and A*AAa at A-Level (Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, Maths). I specialise in tutoring the Sciences and Mathematics (GCSE and A-Level), in addition to helping students keen to pursue a career in Medicine. I also have experience mentoring prospective medical students; I have held 'Get into Medicine' workshops and I have interviewed at mock MMIs for sixth form students. I focus on high-yield content and exam technique to ensure that you are able to realise your academic potential and achieve those top grades! My favourite thing about being a tutoring is watching my students grow in confidence over the course of our sessions. This is the key benefit of private tuition as opposed to classroom learning. 1-to-1 teaching in a supportive, nurturing environment improves self-confidence and is the key to exam success. My teaching sessions are led by your syllabus. The exam specification is the most important document when it comes to achieving the top grades, and I have sieved through the various specifications (Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Eduqas) with a fine-tooth comb. My teaching style combines active recall with high-yield exam questions, enabling my students to achieve the grades required to enter the most competitive university courses. Every student is unique! I take the time to understand my students (and their learning style), to adapt my sessions accordingly.
