A bit about Jason K

I am a graduate from the University of St Andrews studying economics with German, and I am offering English, Maths, Economics, German and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) lessons from age 7-16 (up to National 5/iGCSE/GCSE). I also offer support and teaching for school entrance exams. I have a lot of experience working with kids: I have tutored primary and secondary school students’ Maths, English and Chinese, as well as volunteered to be a football and multi-sport coach for primary children at university. I offer sessions for English, Maths, Economics, German and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) from age 7-16 (up to National 5/iGCSE/GCSE), as well as support for schools entrance exams. I first started tutoring in the summer of 2019 and I've since enjoyed teaching children, therefore I am putting myself forward on this platform now. Troubleshooting and problem solving are two of my key traits and I have also been able to utilise my leadership skills. I aim to make sessions simultaneously fun and educational by tailoring each session to fit the needs of the student. I believe that students learn best in an engaging and stimulating environment and am happy to cater to all levels. Most importantly, I intend to enrich and refine abilities and understanding of each student’s chosen subject or topic and help them improve in all areas. I play football outside of the classroom/Zoom, and I have experience in football coaching. Another hobby of mine is golf. I consider myself an active person and therefore love spending time outdoors, for example going to the beach and hiking. My teaching age groups are children aged 7-16, ranging from general supplementary lessons to support in GCSE, iGCSE, national 5 (Scotland equivalent to GCSE).
