A bit about Imogen V

Hi there! My name is Imogen, and I am an enthusiastic and friendly primary teacher. I trained at UCL, specialising in SEND education. I have a real passion for education and making it accessible for all! As well as my teacher training, I also have experience in one-on-one and group music tuition and, within my undergraduate music degree, have studied modules in education. I have work experience with children and youth, both within the education and charity sector, ages 8-15. I have tutored with the NTP program, as well as privately. I believe that focusing on understanding rather than memorisation is the key to effective learning. When you truly understand a concept, it becomes easier to remember and apply it in the future! That's why I prioritise helping my students gain a deep understanding of the material we're working on. My goal is to provide tutoring services that not only improve academic performance but also help students feel confident in themselves. As a teacher, I always want my students to reach their full potential, which is why I offer lessons that have clear goals. I take the time to understand each student's objectives and customise my approach to help them achieve those goals. Each lesson plan is tailored to the individual needs of the student, making it easy for them to learn and grow.
