A bit about Rakesh G

I hold Engineering & IT degree and had worked in various domains across education, banking, insurance, Aerospace & Defence, and currently doing part time consultancy for Gaming development. This wider experience helps me to give students a relevant glimpse of how their present studies can be applied in the wider world. I have over 7 years successful experience tutoring students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.

The subjects I teach include: - • 11 plus Maths, English & Verbal reasoning preparation • Science – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Mathematics (Key Stage 1 - 4) • Computer Science (Key Stage 3-4) • Design & Technology (Key Stage 3-4) I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a strong passion for teaching. I have gained experience working with whole class groups and individual pupils. I have also had the opportunity to work those with various additional needs which has enabled me to improve my skills in areas such as communication, behaviour management and maintaining a flexible approach to teaching styles to meet individual needs. I have supported hundreds of students, and their parents or carers, to identify strategies that enable the attainment above and beyond their subject target grades.

Prior to the commencement of tutoring, I offer a free consultation session & free assessment to review the exact level of the students. Then with Students and their parents/carer, we review the current academic report with empathy and listen to the concerns surrounding the subject, including barriers to learning and discussion of appropriate learning styles. I subsequently construct an individual syllabus-specific course of study, aimed at achieving above and beyond the target grade. I provide regular feedback to parents/carers to ensure complete transparency and offer extra hours of tutoring if needed to cover the syllabus or exam preparation.

I have over 7 years successful experience tutoring students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. I started tutoring since 2012 for community organisation helping children to achieve their scores and grades on volunteering basis, before I got spiralised training in teaching.

My mission is to make a positive difference in the community’s children's lives through Education. I aim to encourage an enthusiasm for lifelong learning, for students of all ages, by unlocking learning potential and building confidence.

I customise teaching based on ability of the student and create lesson plan to gain maximum interaction during class, so I can assess ability of the student. I subsequently construct an individual syllabus-specific course of study, aimed at achieving above and beyond the target grade. I provide regular feedback to parents/carers to ensure complete transparency and offer extra hours of tutoring if needed to cover the syllabus or exam preparation.

I have 100% score so far and all my 11+ students got admission in the respective Grammar schools. All my GCSE and A level students achieve required grades. Students are very comfortable sharing about their work and problems with me and parents often provide feedback about transparency and custom learning I offer.

I teach all UK exam boards AQA edexcel, OCR for KS3, GCSE and A levels. For 11+ I teach CEM, GL, ISEB board. I also cover mock tests for each board and give level of confidence to each student, so they perform better in the exam.
