A bit about Tara G

Hiya! I have been teaching/tutoring for over 10 years. I have a strong background in science, math, statistics, and English. I also have tutoring experience in study skills techniques, essay writing, and examination preparation. I believe learning should be fun, and I approach tutoring in that way. I love to share experiences and have an open mind to use creative approaches to help my students in whichever way works best for them. I am very passionate about my subjects specialities and love to see students expanding their horizons. I also appreciate that everyone learns differently and I enjoy adapting to however my students learn best. I have a bachelors of science (Psychology), a Masters of Science (Conservation Biology), and am currently in my last year of my PhD in climate change and conservation with a heavy focus on statistical modelling. I also have a TEFL certification and love of writing and reading. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience with specialty in study skills, essay writing, and science. I have nearly 10 years teaching experience from teaching biology classes to kids 7-18 years as well as adult conservation biology classes. I also have participated in Americorps literacy programme with children 7-12 years old in ESL and reading skills. I have experience tutoring students who need more study skill development and examination preparation help.
