A bit about Manish K

I am passionate about teaching maths and computing in an engaging way through the use of resources and representations. My goal is to inspire children to make relevant connections so that they develop a deep understanding that will help them enjoy the subject and retain information. It is always important to build on what the child already knows. Once this has been identified, I will build on this learning using incremental steps in order to achieve required learning outcomes. I use an interactive style of teaching using resources to help build understanding and confidence. I am a qualified teacher with 7 years primary classroom experience followed by 9 years as a Senior Lecturer at University training student teachers how to teach mathematics and computing in primary schools. I am aware of the difficulties children have with the subject and know from personal experience how to overcome these challenges and build both understanding and confidence.
