A bit about Mr A

Hi my name is Andy. I have been teaching for 17 years. My passion in science runs from the early years right through to A level. I deliver science workshops and offer residential revision programmes to large groups of students who are preparing for GCSE and A level exams. I have extensive knowledge and experience of how to support and challenge students to achieve their potential. I am also very approachable and well liked by those I have had the pleasure of working with. I am experienced at delivering quality virtual online sessions. 15 years teaching Physics A level. I am Currently Head of Science and Physics with additional roles in school intervention. I have particular experience in teaching WJEC, Edexcel, AQA and OCR (A). I have delivered tutor sessions for the last 6 years. The sessions are heavily focused on knowing, understanding the specification and being able to apply it to a range of questions. I provide detailed individual notes for the student on each topic and set past paper questions on them from that exam board to consolidate the facts. I get the student to do ALL of the recent specification past paper questions and I go through them carefully with the mark schemes to rehearse key words and phrases required by the exam board.
