A bit about Kirsty W

Qualified English tutor and examiner for AQA with a specialist knowledge of Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Christmas Carol, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Inspector Calls and Blood Brother. My favourite thing about tutoring is helping students to exceed their expectations, for example, a student I worked with whilst teaching went from a predicted grade 4 to a strong grade 6. I am to instil a confidence and deep rooted understanding to help you to get the grade you need, if not surpass it. The lessons will be fully tailored to you! The main thing I have found with teaching and tutoring that it is important to plan lessons in the best way that you learn (which is different for everyone) I have a range of work booklets, tips for exam revision notes and example answers that we can utilise and go through together. The main aim is to improve your confidence and understanding of English to ensure we reach your target grade... if not higher! I am a qualified English Literature and Language teacher, and have experience teaching years 7-13 within school. I have a PGCE in Secondary English and a BA (Hons) degree in Education studies. I have a very strong subject knowledge across the board. However, in particular the Shakespeare texts, as I have previously marked this question for AQA.
