I specialise in 13+ scholarship maths, an area in which I have immersed myself for the last five years. More than half of my students have gained scholarship awards from a range of schools including Abingdon, Eton, Headington, MCS, Rugby and Stowe. These days almost all successful candidates for an academic scholarship have received additional assistance outside the normal classroom environment (as is the case with music and drama) above the level that prep schools are able to provide. Senior schools place the greatest weight on English and Mathematics. It is frequently the case that a strong mathematical performance will mean that weak performance in other subjects is overlooked. Hence it is vital that students deliver to their full potential in mathematics. I have a large bank of past papers that I keep up-to-date so that I can advise my students where to concentrate their revision.
