A bit about Anisa M

I work as a Primary school teacher and tutor. I love to work with children and it makes me happy to see them grow as people so I love my job. Outside of work, my hobbies include drawing and painting. I love to go for long walks and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. One of my favourite things to do is try different foods too. I specialise in teaching all Primary school subjects and helping children prepare for 11+ I usually start the session with a recap of the previous session. I then tell the student what we will work on through the lesson. We have work which is modelled, then we do it together and finally there is some independent practice. After this we check the work and see what the student has done well on and what they may need some extra support with to continue learning. I have been a teacher for three years and have bee tutoring regularly for 1 year. I love teaching children different methods and showing them that there is not just one way to learn something. We look at different methods and see what suits us. I am a patient tutor who understands the needs of each child. I will always guide the student and then give them a chance to have independent practice. This shows them what they can do and allows me to assess so I can continue guiding the learning. My teaching is based on praise and continuous support. My favourite thing about being a tutor is seeing a student feeling happy with what they learn. I love to help children believe in themselves and boost their confidence. I believe that all children are capable of anything. We would not learn if we did not make mistakes and learning happens at a different pace for everybody. With the right support and an environment which creates intrinsic motivation will encourage children and create a positive mindset for learning. Student like that I am calm and patient. They like knowing that it is okay to get things wrong because I am there to support them. I will always tell them what they did well. My greatest successes have been through showing children what they are capable of and seeing their progress. I love to show children how far they have come so that they can see the impact of their learning. Primary Education degree with QTS Seeing the difference that a teacher can make in a child's life.
