A bit about Farida E

Every student learns differently... I use a multitude of teaching styles to ensure every student gets the education they deserve. Sensory lessons, using visual & auditory stimuli, are a big hit. I also incorporate as much as possible from the students immediate environment (politics, entertainment, culture, country, art, local history, etc.) to make lessons more relevant & engaging. Although English is taught as a curriculum subject in school, I personally believe that its importance goes far beyond that. It is how children (and adults :D) communicate and express themselves; the stronger a person's vocabulary and skill over the language is, the more likely they will lead a happier & more successful life. I try to instil this love for the language in my pupils. In addition, I am an avid reader. I love to read. And I love to discuss & dissect the books I read. Another passion I aim to instil into my pupils. I am a 27 year-old, half Dutch, half Egyptian law graduate who discovered her passion was teaching. I speak 3 languages and would love to learn more; this love of language is one of the reasons I became an English teacher. Outside of teaching, I love to travel, hike, read, watch films & hang out with my dogs. I will always try to incorporate as much of myself, my pupils, and our environments into my lessons - making them more relatable and a ton more FUN!
