A bit about Ferdos

I started tutoring over two years ago Seeing my students enjoy science, realise their full potential and attain their desired grades. I teach almost all exam boards including but not limited to OCR, AQA and Edexcel. I teach from +11 until 18. One of my students managed to get an A in A-level Biology after failing it last year - just by having a couple of hours with me every week for the whole year :) My teaching philosophy is to promote effective lessons by creating a comfortable, collaborative and friendly learning environment for every student. I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2021 with a 2:1 in BSc Biomedical Science. As a student, I helped refugee students at high schools overcome language barriers while building their confidence in addition I have been a peer mentor for first-year students at Newcastle University and during my time in this role, I was nominated for peer mentor of the year. Thus, my experience with students and their academic journeys started while I was a student myself!
