A bit about Muin A

I have worked with various students both on the UK curriculum and on international curriculums. I stay current with changes made via the exam board which unfortunately felt like it was changing once a month during the COVID period. I have worked with a variety of exam boards namely AQA, OCR, OCR 21ST C, EDEXCEL, WJEC, IEDEXCEL for GCSE Sciences and Maths. I have also taught OCR A and B EDEXCEL and AQA Biology and Chemistry at A-Level. I initially started teaching younger peers whilst at school as I found it was a good way to help the students improve their understanding of topics as well as allowing for me to develop my notes and public speaking. I truly enjoyed this experience and some to family friends and offered to teach their children who reached from 7-15. This allowed me to see the difference between classroom teaching and 1-2-1 tuition both in terms of their challenges and rewards. This opened my eyes into wanting to tutor and the benefits and improvements tutoring has on my students. Partaking in this journey and seeing the hopes and dreams of my students being achieved is what has kept me within the education industry and hopefully keeps me for many years to come. My students generally comment on my ability to maintain their interest throughout the lesson whether it be due to explaining various topics and ensuring they don't get bored or using examples and analogies to help make things clearer. Another thing that I ensure is that lessons are completely tailored to the student and their individual needs which is something that students appreciate. Being a medical student a lot of my time is taken focusing on healthcare and health inequalities with a particular interest in emergency care, for which I volunteer with the ambulance service. Outside of this, I truly enjoy working on cars whether it be engine and gearbox related or bodywork and scratch removal. It's my safe space and area where I can decompress and destress after a long day or a long week.
