A bit about Kirsty B

I have a BA (Hons) in European Studies (with French and Spanish) from the University of Kent at Canterbury (1995); a Trinity College TESOL Certificate to teach English as a Foreign Language (2002) and I am a qualified teacher of Modern Foreign Languages with a PGCE and QTS since 2005. Whenever I have mastered something in my life, whether it's a language or other kind of skill, I have always loved sharing what I have discovered and so I found I was always teaching, naturally, even before I realised I was a teacher! I love learning too and when you understand that, in teaching something, you learn it better yourself, you'll see how learning and teaching go hand in hand. With 30 years of teaching, training and coaching experience (including multiple languages and ESOL, personal trainer, yoga, wellness & martial arts) an experienced and enthusiastic world-traveller and expert in learning and sharing new languages, skills, subjects and cultures, I thrive on the challenge of navigating ‘unfamiliar territory,’ learning and sharing new skills and understanding. I favour a holistic learner or client-based approach tailored to the individual’s needs and goals, to empower them to explore their hidden potential and realise more of who they are and what they are truly capable of. Learning any new skill is like putting the pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle together. All puzzles are different; but I can share with you my method and approach to help you build YOUR jigsaw as quickly,easily and enjoyably as possible. I am curious and interested in many things, and I am always learning, teaching and experiencing languages and literature, yoga, qigong, meditation, personal development and martial arts. I love nature and travel.
