A bit about Aman H

I am a first year undergraduate student studying at University College London (UCL). I have three years of experience in tutoring of all ages from KS1 to GCSE level. I specialise in Maths and Geography but can teach KS1 and KS2 English. I am an excellent teacher with nearly all my students making a large improvement in their studies. I specialise in teaching all years in Maths (KS1 - KS3) but also Edexcel GCSE Maths. For Geography I can teach AQA GCSE Geography and Edexcel A - Level Geography. I am currently studying Geography at Univeristy and have A levels in Politics, Geography and Maths in which I achieved A*AA, which means I have a large subject knowledge. In my lessons, I usually have a 'Do Now' task for the starter of the lesson. This task will usually be a question based on the last lesson. After this, I will introduce the new lesson by going through the learning objectives. If needed for the lesson, I will have a learning review check which is usually questions based on another unit in which we need the skills for the current lesson. I will then go through any worked examples, and then allow the student to anwer the questions for practice. As part of a plenary, I make the student answer a exam style question based on the lesson, which allows me to see if they have understood the work. I aslo set homework which is based on the work they would have done over the last few lessons to consolidate their learning but also a revision task. I first started tutoring in September 2019, and did it during my 2 years of A levels, and then during my gap year. During the pandemic I moved my lessons online, which allowed me to develop my skills of teaching remote.
