A bit about Huw C

I work through discussion. In all the subjects I teach if you want to achieve highly you need to explain and defend your own point of view. I push students so they can do this verbally, and then work with them on how to write it down. I have been teaching for over 15 years in universities, schools and international schools. All the way through I have offered individual lessons for those who want them. I like nothing better than talking to people who share my passion for my subjects and helping people get really good at something - so I love tutoring! I'm lucky enough to be able to teach about the things I love, so there's lots of overlap between my teaching and hobbies. I write books about history - I'm writing one about the railways at the moment - and I visit lots of historical sites in Britain and indeed all over the world. I really enjoy cycling, reading, music and relax by gardening. My ideal holiday is cycling from castle to castle along country lanes!
