A bit about Miyryam N

Possess Bachelor of Chemistry and Master of Preschool and Primary education. I have 7 years experience working with children, last 5 years have been working in high schools in the UK with Edexcel and AQA examining boards . I have 2 years experience of online tutoring students. Bachelor of Chemistry Teacher subject specialism in Physics Teacher subject specialism in Mathematics I find out the exam board students are doing then plan my lessons using the specifications. I double check with whether they are doing foundation or higher paper and prepare the lessons to meet the ability of the students. I make sure that students are taught only the required material and the more able students can be stretched giving them challenging questions. I have been teaching online since September 2019. I love my subject and am passionate about teaching and enthusiastic about science. I enjoy teaching about the elements, chemical and physical properties of elements, balancing equations and calculations involving masses. I use student-centred approached to learning- The teacher’s primary role is to coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material, and to measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like group projects, student portfolios, and class participation. In this way I think teaching and assessment are connected because students learning is continuously measured during teacher instruction. My favorite thing about online teaching is the wide variety of students that take the course. Students generally range in age from 8 to 35 and have a diverse array of backgrounds, motivations and perspectives. The discussions, in particular, highlight this breadth. I enjoy getting to know everyone and making a personal connection, even if done entirely via computer! My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. - Students love my positive attitude. - Ensuring that they learn what they have been taught. - I focus on the assignments they are tasked to do. - I challenge them and show understanding. Encouraged few lower ability students to revise, helped them to pass the physics exam. Bachelor of Chemistry TSST physics TSST mathematics I loved chemistry since year 7, I enjoyed all chemistry lessons and was enthusiastic about learning and doing well in chemistry since then. I was inspired by my chemistry teacher, who really enjoyed teaching her subject. I like exploring new places, going on trips and travelling to different countries. My favourite sport is basketball.
