A bit about Hana

My teaching style is friendly and approachable. I am very calm and patient and like to make my lessons fun and engaging! Over the years, I have tutored an enormous range of students to exam success - or just to feel more confident in the subjects they are struggling in. I frequently use the pause method in my lessons, this is where I pause my lesson after about 15 minutes of speaking so that students can get their minds around everything already said. I would normally ask them to summarise something I have explained or how to find a solution to a certain problem that I presented and find out if they have any questions For GCSE: English language / literature - AQA Maths - Edexcel and AQA Sciences - AQA, Edexcel, OCR For A-level: English Literature - AQA A Chemistry - OCR A Maths - Edexcel Hello, I'm Hana, a law student at King's College, London, and I'm passionate about teaching. I believe that education is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth, and I want to share my knowledge and experiences to help you succeed. I understand the challenges students face, and I'm here to provide guidance, support, and effective learning strategies to make your academic journey more manageable and rewarding. I'm excited to work with you and help you achieve your goals. As a law student at one of London's top 10 universities, I do experience high demand from students who are eager to learn. This demand is the reason for the pricing structure, as I dedicate a substantial amount of time and effort to create lessons and provide valuable resources. These resources have been instrumental in my own academic success, helping me achieve top grades in my examinations, and I'm committed to sharing this knowledge and expertise with my students. The thing I like most about teaching is my students. I love interacting with them, learning and helping them understand the content of any course and when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives. I also love it when a student tells me they hated the topic before having the lesson but now they actually like it (or hate it a little less) I like to begin by asking how the student is doing and what they got up to over the weekend or during the week to ease them into the session. Then, I ask the student what topic they wish to cover in their lesson (usually this would be at the end of every session so that I can prepare materials for the next lesson based on what they would like to cover but I am flexible to do it on the day as well). I go over a brief summary of what the topic is about and do one or two example questions with the student to make sure they fully understand. During this, I would incorporate my own tips and notes that I have used in the past to help me. After, the student will be given exam questions to complete from past papers ranging from easy to hard (depending on how confident they are with the topic). Toward the end of the session, we would go through and mark the exam questions and resolve any mistakes made to make sure that they are confident with the topic. Finally, I would end the lesson with what they would like to do in the next lesson and tasks to complete.
