A bit about Holly

I have graduated with a first in Biomedical Science (BSc) and also have a degree in Medicine (BMBS). I have also taken several courses and gained certificates in teaching and teaching methods. I hope to complete a PG Cert in Medical Education in the future. The greatest success I've had with teaching is when tutoring a GCSE student. At the start of our lessons the student had a target grade of a 6 for both chemistry and biology and they ended up achieving a double 9! Seeing the satisfaction on their face after all their hard work and watching their confidence grow was totally worth it. From a young age I always knew I wanted to go into the science/healthcare sector, however science was not always my strongest subject at school. After receiving a poor grade in a big exam, I was disheartened, but had an excellent year 7 science teacher who inspired me not to give up! Through my own hard work and this encouragement I achieved 3 A* at GCSE for Triple Science and A grades at A-level and have gone on to attain two degrees.
