A bit about Nikki S

I love geography! I have taught and tutored for over 20 years in the UK and South America. I have experience working with high-attaining Oxbridge candidates, mixed ability, SEND and EAL pupils. I have been an examiner for over 10 years, working with Edexcel and AQA for GCSE and A Level as well as examining for the IB. Years 7-13. I currently teach AQA for GCSE and Edexcel for A Level, although I have taught other boards in the past. It is essential that students are confident in their abilities. I need to assess their current understanding and skills then build on this, developing geographical undertanding but also exam technique. We start with feedback from any work completed or a quick quiz/discussion on the topic. This allows me to quickly assess the main areas to cover. By the end of the lesson students feel more confident and able to tackle tricky questions or explain any concepts they had not grasped before. Initially to work with young people but as the years have gone on my love of geography has grown and I am passionate about developing students' geography education and success in geography examinations.
