A bit about Emily P

I am a university student but spent a gap year working in a secondary school as a teaching assistant and cover science teacher. I have also been a tutor for just over 3 years, specialising in science and history. I hope to make learning fun and engaging while encouraging students to reach their full potential! I specialise in GCSE science, particularly biology and chemistry, and GCSE history. I also have experience with KS3 science and A-level biology and history. I like to include a mixture of activities in my lessons. This can vary from discussing content in depth, engaging quizzes, worksheets and practise papers/exam style questions. I first started tutoring in 2019. During my gap year, I spent my time working in a secondary school where I would provide revision sessions at lunchtime or after school. I love being able to encourage a passion for science and history in students that stretches beyond the required content and it is great to see students reaching their full potential.
