When did you first start tutoring?

I've been working as a tutor for 3 years and have completed over 250 sessions. I graduated in the last year with a Masters in Mathematics and Computer Science and I'm looking to take the tutoring I have done in recent years full time.

What do you specialise in?

I've been studying for maths exams for the last 7+ years of my life and I'd love to share all the tips and tricks I've picked up with you. More than that though I hope to help you build your confidence in the subject and make scary maths tests a thing of the past. Who knows, maybe you'll even come to enjoy maths. My sessions are designed to be very student-led. You choose the topics, we go at your pace and most importantly I tailor them to your style of learning. Are you a visual learner? Then let's use diagrams and flowcharts to help you see what to do for each topic. Are you great at written subjects but struggle with maths? Then let's put the steps into words, how does a recipe for perfect line graphs sound? However you learn, there's a way to approach maths for you and together we can use it to discover and explore all the topics you need for your course.

How do your lessons usually plan out?

Typically a one-hour session breaks down to: • First 10 minutes on last session's topic (we'll look at some exam-style questions) • 20 minutes discussing the new topic (we'll put some notes together and I'll walk you through some examples) • 10 minutes answering questions together (I'll tell you the next step and you attempt it) • Last 20 minutes your turn to answer questions (I'll let you try whole questions on your own and we'll talk about each one when you've reached an answer) The aim is that by the end of the session you've successfully answered at least one question unaided.

What exam boards and year groups do you teach?

I offer maths sessions for the following: KS3, GCSE and A-level. I also offer sessions for OCR and AQA Computing GCSE students. KS3 and GCSE sessions cost £15 an hour, A-level sessions cost £18 an hour.
