A bit about Matthew R

I am an assistant headteacher working in a lovely one-form entry primary school. I currently teach Year Six supporting children in meeting the expected standard in SATs. While I offer tuition for all primary subjects, my specialism is mathematics. I currently work on behalf of the National Centre of Excellence for Teaching Mathematics (NCETM) as a Primary Maths Specialist. My favourite subject to teach is definitely maths. As a child, I found maths incredibly difficult. Being able to provide children with a ‘lightbulb’ moment is a perk of the job! Being able to support children one to one or in a group. This approach enables me to provide the very best, tailored support to learners. My degree is in Primary Education - BA (Hons) Primary Education QTS I also work as a Primary Mastery Specialist in Mathematics (on behalf of the NCETM)
