A bit about Ryan

I am a fully qualified Maths teacher with experience teaching and tutoring mixed ability, SEN students in mainstream secondary schools. If I were to describe what maths means for me, it would be a journey of self discovery.From being a former D grade student in the lower years of my education to achieving a first class honours in Mathematics is living proof that mathematics can be accessible to anyone given the right mindset. This journey alone has allowed me to inspire many of the pupils I have taught over the last couple of years. My lessons usually start with working on the student's prior knowledge, needed to inform the lesson's work, for example using fractions needed for ratio and proportion questions. After that the question is asked what are we learning today and why is it useful? .From there, I work through a modelling system known as the we, me, you approach to learning which provides the pupil with as much interaction as possible. Finally, a couple of questions are done by the student independently to consolidate their learning and a summary question is produced that ties in the Learning Outcome of the lesson. I have a A grade in A level Mathematics and a first class bachelor of honours in Mathematics with a Qualified Teaching Status. Knowing that not one lesson is the same
