A bit about Ollie

I have tutored for 3 years, both online and in person and I have helped many students achieve grades even they didn't believe they could actually get. I think children often under-value their abilities and I would encourage them to believe in themselves and really strive to get the best possible result. I believe active learning is most important for students. Therefore i would cover any content material that the student finds difficult, and then apply it to past paper questions. I could also run through important sections that appear in multiple topics. For example, expanding brackets is used across many topics such as algebra, shapes, and quadratics. I believe exam technique is often one of the best ways to improve grades and is overlooked too much. Past papers are also a great way to improve this as similar questions appear year on year. I am a 3rd year Finance student at Durham university, specialising in tutoring maths and the sciences. Away from work i am a keen sports player and musician. I have experience tutoring autistic and ADHD children and am therefore a very calm, understanding, and process driven tutor.
