A bit about Oyawuyi O

I am Omotayo OYAWUYI, an Academic, Environment Analyst, and Chemist. My cognate experience as a Chemistry and Biology teacher helped me develop a passion for delivering knowledge with precision and accuracy, using instructional media that would facilitate learning, imparting cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of learning, in students. I once created a soundtrack to help students learn the periodic table with the ease of music. I also started a flipped classroom, using a mixlr broadcasting service, google classroom that would allow students to stream my teaching on air. I specialize in teaching the fundamentals of chemistry, using real-life experiences, and virtually familiar terrains that could appeal to the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domain of the learner. My cognate experience as a Chemistry and Biology teacher helped me develop a passion for delivering knowledge with precision and accuracy, using instructional media that would facilitate learning in students I would start by adding the student to a google classroom, which would act as our landing page for every academic conversation, without distraction from surfing the net for instructional materials. Then I would produce slides for each lesson, which would be used for the teaching sessions. Thereafter, the student would form their notes by themselves, to know how well they have understood the topic, This note would be checked for corrections or adjustments. There would be daily and weekly assessments. I started tutoring in 2008, and over the years, I have taught across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of education. I have over ten years of experience as a productive teacher, knowing how to bring out the best in every student I have encountered. I was actively engaged in curricular development, extraction of syllabuses, creation of a work scheme, and adoption of the most appropriate pedagogy. I designed the academic and entrepreneurship curricula for the efficient delivery of these programs without a breach of the benchmarks set by accrediting bodies Knowledge is precise and accurate. If you have knowledge about a subject matter, you can disseminate it. It gives me a sense of responsibility, knowing I am actively engaged in the impartation of lives that could change the world. In my most recent work experience, I Coordinated the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme, Entrepreneurship Development Studies, and Chemistry Unit. During the pandemic, I introduced a continuous learning solution to my employer which was later transformed into the University's Learning Management System with the help of an affiliate IT Firm as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. This would later usher in the Open Distance Learning Program of the University. My next phase of personal development is targeted towards Educational leadership. I love using real-time experiences such as a movie they have seen, or a familiar story with felicity before starting my lectures. I graduated 87 students from the University this year 2022, having been one of the pioneer lecturers of the University, who tutored the students from their first year to their final year. I found my youngers needed me to explain a lot of things to them over, and over again when we were younger. It was obvious they needed my help to learn more about themselves, and their environment.
