A bit about Elizabeth R

I am a secondary school mathematics teacher, examiner and tutor. I taught mathematics in the UK, Kuwait and Malaysia covering GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A Level for Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge International and International Baccalaureate. My role as an examiner for Edexcel and Cambridge International gives me a valuable insight into how to prepare students to understand what working is required to be seen in order to obtain the marks they deserve. I love to learn and try new things. I spend a lot of my time doing sports, travelling and exploring the arts. No matter how you might feel about your mathematical ability, I believe that every student has the ability to succeed and achieve their goals. BSc Mathematics PGCE Secondary Mathematics QTS Experience of teaching in state and private education settings in the UK and internationally My teaching philosophy is that students need to be active in their learning to build their confidence and understanding of mathematics. By allowing them to make mistakes, guide them through the process of identifying where they have gone wrong and learn how to correct themselves, students are then able to independently approach new problems with self-reliance.
