A bit about Laura L

I'm a qualified teacher with 6 years experience of science teaching at KS3 and KS4. I also have 2 years experience of teaching Biology at A Level. I'm a registered examiner with AQA for all 3 sciences and have been writing KS2, KS3 and KS4 curriculum for 3 years. I have taught the AQA and OCR curriculum. I have been teaching all 3 sciences at KS3 and GCSE for 6 years, but my specialism is biology, as I also have a nursing degree. My lessons are engaging, supportive and fun, with lots of modelling to support students. They are very adaptable to allow us to focus more on certain areas if a student gets stuck! I first started online teaching during the pandemic (2020). I love teaching science as I have a nursing background, so can really bring the subject to life. Engaging, fun, supportive with lots of modelling. Supporting students to achieve the best results they can! Those "Lightbulb" moments are amazing! I have a nursing degree, a Bachelor of Sciences Honours Degree and QTS. I have experience of teaching all three sciences at KS3 and KS4 for AQA and OCR. I also have 2 years experience of teaching A Level Biology for AQA. As I write curriculum, I also have excellent knowledge of the KS2, KS3 and KS4 curriculum. That my lessons are engaging, that I'm a little bit crackers, but that the knowledge I am teaching is sticky!
