A bit about Maysa A

I'm an experienced result-driven Mathematics and Science tutor with over 500 hours of private tutoring experience. I have achieved A* in GCSE and A* in A-level Maths (94% in C4 paper), A* in Chemistry (100% in CHEM5) and A* in Biology (100% in Paper 4) and hold an MEng (Masters Degree) in Molecular Bioengineering from Imperial College London. I push my students to achieve their best and motivate them every step of the way. My recent Y9 student has achieved 90% in his class mock test and another student who sat her foundation exam in November has passed (after previously failing 3 times before my help). I specialise in: Foundation and Higher GCSE Maths, GCSE Chemistry, Biology, Physics and A-level Maths. I teach Edexcel, AQA and iGCSE. In the first session we will identify gaps in your knowledge and highlight the topics you struggle with the most. We will then come up with a structured plan for the following sessions. I explain topics in an easy to understand and simple manner then follow up with practice questions and past paper questions (Easy, Medium and Hard levels). I set homework after each session to strengthen the learning and provide monthly/2 week tests to recap the content we have covered. I started tutoring Year 2-Year 11 in a tuition agency (where I taught 5 children per session and 1-on-1) in 2016. I then moved on to private 1-on-1 tutoring in 2017 and have been doing that ever since. I have achieved: A* in GCSE Maths A* in GCSE Further Maths A in GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology (triple science) A* in A-level Maths A* in A-level Chemistry A* in A-level Biology A in AS Geography I studied at Imperial College London and have graduated with an MEng in Molecular Bioengineering (Masters degree) Practice makes perfect - The more exam style questions you do, the better you'll be! They start loving maths! They understand and enjoy solving the problems I teach both exam content and exam preparation. In our sessions we will: - Go through the content of each topic and how to solve it - Do lots of past papers and example questions, I will give you homework so that you're practicing these skills even when we aren't together - Go through exam techniques that help you maximise your marks, these tips and tricks can be applied to science subjects as well (its how I achieved A* in Maths, Chemistry and Biology A-level) - And finally we will learn about how to revise effectively and organise yourself e.g. preparing a revision timetable that will keep you structured and focused I enjoy problem solving! I do a wide variety of things: 1. I'm a Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths Mentor where I inspire children aged 4-17 to study about the latest advancements in STEM subjects (we do lots of fun practical experiments together). I also advise my clients on the different STEM career paths you can take. 2. I have started my own business, if your interested in entrepreneurship/marketing/sales/research I have lots of advice! 3.
